Get Ready for “A Nonsense Christmas” Spectacular

Are you ready for a nonsense Christmas? Sabrina Carpenter sure is!

The official trailer for Sabrina Carpenter’s new Netflix special just dropped, and here is the run-down on all things nonsense.

The holiday film, dropping on Netflix on December 6th, stars Grammy-nominated pop star Sabrina Carpenter and will feature an array of holiday treats for viewers.

Carpenter’s visuals never fail to appeal to the eye, and from the trailer alone, the special effects and set designs look out-of-this-world amazing. Multiple set designs include a three-tiered stage for classic holiday performances, covered in a velvet red carpet, and comfortable couches for the surprise skits.

Surprise!! The anticipated holiday special will feature duets with all our favorites- Chappell Roan, Shania Twain, Tyla, and Kali Uchis. That is a star-studded cast. But it gets even better, the special also includes comedy skits of Carpenter starring alongside Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, Kyle Mooney and so many more comedic icons.

Carpenter is mixing the best of both worlds together - singing with some of the greatest in the pop, rap, country, and R&B genres and the comedic genius of some of today’s funniest comedians (hello, it is Quinta Brunson). Tie it in with the holiday season and there better be no Scrooges watching.  This is the best holiday gift ever!

The star-studded cast is not the only amazing thing about this holiday special. I, for one, am extremely excited to see Sabrina Carpenter’s lookbook for this film. Her vintage style is perfect for the holiday season, and the first look at the outfits in the trailer proves her stylist knows what they are doing. From the black elbow gloves to the full-length ball gowns to all the white fur in between, Carpenter is embracing the vintage holiday spirit.

The film will also feature songs from Carpenter’s 2023 holiday ep, “fruitcake,” where she combined classic Christmas songs with her own flirty style of writing. There will also be performances of classic holiday songs, not yet been disclosed. We'll have to wait and see!

The trailer for “A Nonsense Christmas” had me eagerly anticipating for what I am sure will be my new favorite holiday movie. So, are you dreaming of a nonsense Christmas?
