With 96 awards to give out during one three-hour National broadcast, it is almost impossible to give everyone the chance to receive their award on the big screen and share their feelings on their art with the world.

In total, only about nine awards are given out on the main TV broadcast, with a majority of music’s biggest achievements given out during a pre-showing broadcast that occurs during the coveted red carpet. The amount of performances and speeches that occur during the main ceremony allows for only a small percentage of screentime for the awards.

However, these artists have put in the work and determination to receive these highly

coveted awards- and it is time for them to get their flowers from the public. This year's Grammy’s Premiere Show, hosted by Darren Criss, made history in all categories.

Some of the biggest categories are called out during the red carpet, with the Folk, Jazz, Contemporary and Christian-Gospel awards going early in the evening. This year, there were so many deserving winners in each of these categories.

Here are some of the winners of the niche Grammy’s in categories that are otherwise hidden from the public due to the lack of run-time on national TV broadcasts.

The first award of the night was for Best Pop Duo Performance, and to the surprise of absolutely no one, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivio won it for their amazing duet of “Defying Gravity” from Wicked.

This year, the Grammy’s introduced a new category, Best Album Cover, which went to Tyler Okonma for their work on the cover of “Chromokopia.”

Amy Allen won her third Grammy award for Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical, making her the first female songwriter to ever achieve this incredible feat. She has had back-to-back wins in the category.

Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, went to Cirkut; who produced the hits of 2025. The music he produced this year- like “Mayhem” (Lady Gaga), “APT” (Bruno Mars and ROSE), “Red Terror” (The Weeknd) and “IT girl” (JADE)- were the theme songs to 2025. This was an award well earned by Cirkut.

The Grammy for Dance/Electric Album went to FKA Twigs for “Eusexua,” marking Twigs’ first Grammy win. In their speech, FKA Twigs marked the momentous moment of their first Grammy win by advocating that other artists continue to “do you, be yourself… fall in love with your art.”

This year, the Grammy for Latin Pop Album went to Natalia Lafourcade for “Cancionera,” which translates to “the songstress.” This is Lafourcade’s fourth Grammy win, and celebrates the artistry and story she built into the album.

All of these artists have put in tremendous amounts of work to get their music nominated by the recording academy, and they deserve the chance to be recognized nationally for their art. Next year, let's all set up a split screen to watch the Grammy’s premiere ceremony at the same time as the red carpet, because these artists deserve to share themselves with the world.

Congratulations to all of the winners of the niche, untelevised categories. May you continue to win and share your art with us forever.
