Pusha T is officially coming to Penn State for Movin’ On’s 50th anniversary show. Here’s a look into the hitmaker himself.

Terrence LeVarr Thornton, better known as Pusha T, was born in the Bronx, New York but was raised in Virginia.
He was born into an already musical family with his brother: No Malice. The two began their music career together in 1992 when they became the rap duo known as Clipse. According to Red Bull Music Academy, their two albums Lord Willin’ and Hell Hath No Fury are considered “masterworks of the genre” because they elevate lyricism and the genre.
The pair also started Re-Up Gang, a rap group consisting of Pusha, his brother, Ab-Liva and Sandman. Pusha-T and his brother disbanded their duo to pursue solo careers after the drop of their third album: ‘Til The Casket Drops.
After his split with his brother, Pusha signed with Kanye West at G.O.O.D Music in 2010. In March of 2011 he went on to release his first solo project: a mixtape titled Fear of God.
From here he went on to release Fear of God II: Let us Pray and then his first official solo album: My Name is My Name.
During his time at G.O.O.D Music Pusha also started working with many other artists on massive projects, most notably having a hand in Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy on the track Runaway. He would later go on to premiere Runaway live with Kanye at the 2010 MTV Music Awards.
T has worked with massive artists like Pop Smoke, Pharell Williams, Jay-Z, Killer Mike, Nicki Minaj and more on his solo work.
He’s released popular albums like DAYTONA (2018) and It’s Almost Dry (2022). T has also had features on popular songs including Don’t Like.1, Mercy, Move That Dope and Tell the Vision.
Pusha is also a two time Grammy nominee for Best Rap Album, and has been nominated four times overall.
Over his years in the industry, Pusha has created a place for himself as one of the best rappers of all time.
We’re so excited he’s coming to Movin’ On this year with his melodic flow, ground-breaking lyrics and infectious energy. We hope to see everyone there cheering on a true legend!
