Coming fresh off of an album release, playing Coachella, and realising she actually is kinda famous, Slayyyter is the second artist to take the stage for Movin’ On 2026. So who is this pop star presented by SPA? Here is everything you need to know about the rising star, Slayyyter.

Slayyyter is a St. Louis-born singer-songwriter who has been creating music for years. The name “Slayyyter” comes from the fan-favorite stoner character “Slater” from the 90s classic film Dazed and Confused.

Slayyyter has been creating for years now, putting out her first self-titled project Slayyyter in 2019. She soon gained an online following, and she continued to create and grow. On top of her first album, the St. Louis native has three others: Troubled Paradise (2021), STAR—KER (2023), and her first major-label release, WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA (2026).

She has done her fair share of touring, doing three tours of her own and joining pop legends like Tove Lo, Charli XCX, and Kesha as an opener.

Slayyyter has been featured on “ATTENTION!” alongside Rose Gray and Kesha, which opened her up to a larger audience. Slayyyter continued to work with the electronic-pop sound, and off of her most recent album WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA, she put out singles “BEAT UP CHANEL$”, “CANNIBALISM!”, and “CRANK”, which garnered quite a bit of positive attention prior to the album's release.

Slayyyter has also begun to create a strong fanbase due to the DIY attitude she has taken when it comes to the visual side of her music. Most of the costumes, props, and background shots in her music videos have been either created by Slayyyter herself or done in another creative way.

The St. Louis native has also begun to create her own unique sound, doing a lot of vocal inflections and effects in her music to create a hyperpop, positively-chaotic sound that gives the listener a rush of energy.

Slayyyter continues to amass attention and followers after the drop of WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA. The album has received an 8.2 rating from Pitchfork, and is being hailed as one of the most exciting albums of the year.

Slayyyter also performed at Coachella 2026, and drew in a max capacity crowd. Her set went viral online and was considered one of the best of the festival, which has only drawn in more listeners for WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA.

Slayyyter will take the stage at Movin’ On after student performers Amelia & Sequoia, and you can see what all the excitement is about on May 1st!
